This Week

  • Started installation of countertops in pantry

  • AV Cabling has started

  • Solid surface perimeter windowsills were installed on the second floor

  • Started ceiling framing on the first floor

  • Start-up of the exterior mechanical condensing unit

  • Continued to install second floor roller shades

  • Tread and riser installation is ongoing


Next Week

  • Ceiling close-up inspection for First Floor Phase 2

  • Drywall/taping will start in lobby

  • Install remaining metal panels on the exterior

  • Ceramic tile backsplash installation in second floor pantry

  • Vending shelf installation will begin


General reminders

  • During construction, parking spaces have been assigned. Please ensure that you use only your spot or park offsite.

  • Visitors will not be able to park in the lot and visiting employees should be prepared to find remote parking. Double parking will not be permitted.

  • Emergency issues related to the 643 renovations should be routed to Jack Brown at 847-338-4308.

  • Stair tread adhesion testing completed

  • Continued installation of stair treads

  • Started framing for the new entryway

  • First floor overhead mechanical rough-in ongoing

  • Exterior condenser unit piping and insulation work

  • Installed marker boards

The office will be closed this weekend, 2/18-2/19. There will be a new employee entrance starting February 20. The west entrance will no longer be available for entry into the building or deliveries. This will allow renovation of the west half of the first-floor lobby.


NO CARS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PARKING LOT THIS SATURDAY, 2/18.


This Week

  • Millwork was started

  • Installation of interior demountable partitions started

  • Exterior metal panels started

  • Wood floor installation started on the second floor

  • Preparation for relocation of employee entrance

  • Installation of doors and hardware started


This weekend – New Employee Entrance

  • The purpose of this new configuration is to allow the construction team to begin work on the west half of the first floor and finish the lobby.

  • The security system will remain active and key fabs will work in the same fashion.

  • Guests will be able to ring the doorbell and be buzzed into the building by reception on the 3rd floor.

  • Deliveries/outgoing packages like FedEx and UPS will be utilizing a container (package station). They will be buzzed in, and packages will be left/picked up from the container inside the door.
