643 Weekly Progress Update 9/23

We are excited that the 643 Project groundbreaking is just a week away and appreciate your patience and cooperation as renovations progress. Here are a few reminders to keep in mind during the renovation.

• Please check your calendars to ensure you haven't booked the second floor conference after September 30. As a reminder, the new Chicago Cubs room on the eighth floor is available to reserve through Outlook.

• Starting September 29, reception will no longer be located in the Lobby. A drawing of the new temporary entry is attached. During the renovation, you should plan to meet guests and deliveries at the first floor entrance.

• The elevator walls will be protected during construction but the elevators will still be accessible. At times tradespeople may be using the elevators and stairwells to transport materials. Please be cautious and plan longer travel times when moving through the building.

• As a reminder, visitors will not be able to park in the lot and double parking will not be permitted during construction. Visitors and visiting employees should be prepared to find remote parking.

This Week

• Mechanical & electrical rough-in and drywall work continued on the temporary kitchen and workout room.

• Remote parking was secured at the River North Apartment Building garage located at 505 N Orleans.

Next Week

• The kitchen will close after the groundbreaking lunch next Thursday, September 29.

• The refrigerators will need to be emptied.

• You will be notified of your parking spot assignment.

Our website, updatesatthe643.com, is now live! Here you can access project progress, virtual tours, renderings and extensive information on High Performance and Technology used in the renovation. We continue to add materials to the gallery on the 7th floor. There is also a question and answer board for anything else you might be curious about.

This Week

• IT has been relocated to the third floor.

• Plotter was relocated to the third floor

• Paper shredder and 2nd floor printer were relocated to the 4th floor.

• Work continues on a temporary kitchen located in the basement.

• Work continues on a permanent workout room in the basement.

• Remote parking was secured at the River North Apartment Building garage located at 505 N Orleans.

• We continued our investigation work.

Next Week

• Mechanical & electrical rough-in and drywall work will continue next week on the temporary kitchen and workout room.

• The kitchen and workout room on second floor will remain open until demolition begins on October 3.

Save the date for our groundbreaking event on Thursday, September 29 at noon! Details to follow.

We hope you've had a chance to take the 360 virtual tour of the new lobby and second floor. On the seventh floor, we have set an area right off the elevator where we have material samples and additional QR codes. There is also a Question/Answer board for you to anonymously ask questions. We will try to answer them in this weekly update as time goes on.

Kitchen Details

• Refrigerators, microwaves, Bevi machine, ice maker and vending machines will be available.

• Coffee machines will be available on each floor.

• There will not be a sink or dishwasher in the temporary kitchen.

• Pepper will be providing paper products for your use.

Each Floor

• Coffee machines will be available on each floor.

Parking

Due to construction activities, our parking capacity will be significantly reduced. As a result, we're asking for your help.

• Parking for Chicago office employees will be arranged at an offsite location.

• Visitors and visiting employees should be prepared to find remote parking.

This Week

• Office supplies were moved to the fourth floor by the women's restroom

• Paper shredder and 2nd floor printer were relocated to the 4th floor.

• Work began on a temporary kitchen located in the basement.

• Work began on a permanent workout room in the basement.

• Marketing storage was relocated to the 7th floor.

• We continued our investigation work.

• We are finalizing off-site parking accommodations.

Next Week
